Used photocopy machine prices in Ghana: what to pay and what to check

Prices checked

Short answer

Used and refurbished office photocopiers in Ghana were listed at GH₵3,800 to GH₵14,400 in October 2026, against GH₵11,475 to GH₵59,000 for new black and white A3 copiers. A good used copier can save you a lot, but the price only makes sense if the page counter is reasonable, it copies cleanly in front of you, and toner and servicing are easy to get. Never pay a deposit before seeing it work.

What do used photocopiers cost in Ghana?

In October 2026 we found 6 used or refurbished office copiers listed with prices, from GH₵3,800 to GH₵14,400. Most were imported office machines from Canon, Kyocera and Konica Minolta, sold by dealers and private sellers on Jiji. For comparison, new black and white A3 copiers cost GH₵11,475 to GH₵59,000 and new colour copiers GH₵31,500 to GH₵168,000.

Every listing is in our photocopy machine price list, marked Used or Refurbished, with a link to the seller's listing.

Used, refurbished or "foreign used": what's the difference?

  • Used or "foreign used" usually means an imported machine sold as it came, perhaps cleaned. Its condition depends entirely on how hard it was worked before.
  • Refurbished should mean worn parts were replaced and the machine was tested, ideally with a short warranty. The word is used loosely, so ask what was actually replaced.
  • "Brand new" at a used price is a warning sign. Some listings call refurbished machines new.

Whatever the label, ask the seller to write the condition and any warranty on the receipt.

Why do used copier prices vary so much?

Two used copiers of the same model can be very different buys. The biggest factors are:

  • The page counter: how many pages it has already printed. Parts like the drum, fuser and rollers wear with use.
  • Age and model: newer models have better features and longer support.
  • What's included: document feeder, stand or cabinet, toner, and delivery and installation.
  • Who's selling: a dealer who services what they sell and offers a warranty usually charges more than a private seller, and is usually worth it.

Is a used photocopier worth it?

It can be, if:

  • the price is well below a comparable new machine
  • the page counter shows it has plenty of life left
  • it copies cleanly from the glass and the feeder when you test it
  • its toner is sold locally at a reasonable price
  • someone nearby can service it

It's usually not worth it if the seller can't show it working, won't show the counter, or the model's toner is hard to find. For a school or print shop that can't afford downtime, a new or properly refurbished machine with a warranty is often the safer choice. Compare both with our buy vs lease calculator.

How to check a used copier before you pay

Follow our step-by-step used photocopier checklist: check the page counter, make test copies from the glass and the feeder, rub the copies to check the toner is fused, try every tray, and watch for error codes. Avoid paying any deposit or "delivery fee" before you've seen the machine working, and inspect it at the seller's premises.

Questions people ask

How much is a used photocopy machine in Ghana?

In October 2026, used and refurbished office photocopiers were listed at GH₵3,800 to GH₵14,400 in Ghana. Prices depend on the model, its page count, what's included and whether the seller gives a warranty.

Are refurbished photocopiers worth it?

A properly refurbished copier, with worn parts replaced, testing and a written warranty, can be good value. Ask exactly what was replaced and get the warranty on the receipt, because "refurbished" is often used loosely.

Where can I buy a used photocopier in Ghana?

From office equipment dealers, many of whom also list on Jiji, and from private sellers. A dealer who services what they sell is usually safer. Always see the machine working before paying.

What should I check on a used photocopier?

The total page counter, test copies from the glass and document feeder, every paper tray, error messages, and that its toner is easy to buy locally. Our used copier checklist explains each step.
