Banner price calculator for flex, sticker and large-format printing
Prices checked
Short answer
An example
A church wants two flex banners, each 6 ft by 3 ft, with 8 eyelets in total and a GH₵50 design fee. Each banner is 18 square feet, so two are 36 square feet. At the example price of GH₵6 a square foot, the printing is GH₵216; eyelets add GH₵8 and design GH₵50, for GH₵274 in total.
How should you price banners?
Your price per square foot has to cover the material, the ink, the machine's time, your power or generator fuel and your labour for cutting, hemming and fixing eyelets, plus your profit. Ink for eco-solvent and sublimation machines is a big part of the cost: see current eco-solvent ink prices.
Small jobs take almost as long to set up as big ones, so many shops set a minimum charge. Design is real work too: charge for it separately rather than hiding it in the price per square foot. Sizes in metres? One square metre is about 10.76 square feet, and the calculator converts for you.

Questions people ask
How do I calculate the price of a banner?
Multiply the width by the height to get the area, then multiply by your price per square foot (or square metre) for that material. Add eyelets, design and delivery or fixing. For a 6 ft by 3 ft flex banner at GH₵6 a square foot, that's 18 square feet, or GH₵108 before extras.
Should I charge per square foot or per square metre?
Use whichever your customers understand. Many banner shops in Ghana quote sizes in feet and charge per square foot. The calculator works with either, and you can type sizes in feet or metres. One square metre is about 10.76 square feet.
What is a minimum charge?
The lowest price you'll accept for a job, however small, because setting up the machine, cutting and finishing take time even for a tiny banner. Set it in your prices and the calculator uses it whenever the size works out cheaper.
